Product Introduction The Colt Aircrewman has been produced as an "R-model" specification model gun with improved durability and operability. The cylinder lockup problem (a symptom of the timing between trigger movement and cylinder rotation), which occurred due to the faithful reproduction of the Colt mechanism, is prevented over the long term by a rebound lever that has been changed to a two-piece structure made of a strong stamped and die-cast material. The Aircrewman's most distinctive feature, the walnut checkered grip (weighted) with the U.S. Air Force crest, comes as standard equipment. These special grips are the result of many prototypes and were made exclusively for the Aircrewman to perfectly reproduce the real thing. The "Property of US Air Force" on the back of the frame, the Air Force control number on the bottom of the grip, and "Aircrewman" stamped on the side of the barrel indicate that the gun belongs to the US Air Force. In addition, the included cartridge is an Aircrewman-specific cartridge that reproduces the exclusive low-pressure "M41" bullet used in the actual gun (regular .38 special-fire cartridges can also be used).
