This .45 auto carry gun is made with lots of carbon black heavyweight material. The slide is based on a blank Commander size slide. The slide top is once machined flat and then engraved with 30 LPI (line per inch) serrations. The back of the slide is also serrated at 40 LPI to prevent light reflection when sighted in. The front sight is equipped with a fiber optic that fluoresces green under a light source. Combined with the tactical-use U-notch rear sight, it provides a quick sighting effect. The front part of the rear sight has a deep notch and also functions as a cocking shoulder, which is effective when the upper part of the slide is operated by holding it in the opposite hand. The bottom of the slide has been carefully chamfered to reduce the burden on the body when worn and to prevent snagging on clothing during draw. The sharply cut leaf cut for a modern look, as well as Wilson's iconic square-cut serrations and markings on each section, are all luxuriously reproduced by machine processing. A custom plug with circular grooves is mounted on the top, and Wilson's imprint shines brilliantly on the thick-barrel bushing. The frame is custom framed with 40 LPI checkering engraved on the front strap. The checkered spring housing and the equivalent rear end of the frame are cut at an angle to reduce protrusion when carrying, and a round butt style is used for quick draws from a holster. The narrow form of the one-sided thumb safety is also meant to prevent malfunction when carried in a holster, and the concept of the gun as a carry gun is evident. The impressive grip panel with a radial anti-slip pattern called "Starburst" is reproduced in heavyweight material, providing a firm, hard grip and excellent holding feeling. The scalloped finish assists easy access to the magazine catch button, and the Wilson Combat medallion is decorated in the center of the panel.
